The Australian Wrestling Alliance (AWA) was established in 2011, since then, we have grown to be Brisbane’s premiere source  of professional wrestling entertainment.

Our events take place around South East QLD in varying locations such as, the Bray Park PCYC located at the Les Hughs Sports Ground, Caboolture Memorial Hall on King Street, and the New Globe Theatre in the Brisbane CBD, the home of our Grindhouse and Whiplash events, we also attend various clubs regularly such as The Brightside (Fortitude Valley), The Triffid (West End), and The Arena (Fortitude Valley) and can be seen throughout Brisbane at locations such as Victoria Point Sharks Club, RNA Showgrounds, and Brisbane Convention center.

Since 2011 the AWA has been featured on all forms of media, including radio stations, television programs and in 2015 we had our first Foxtel presentation, we have also been key features of many local festivals including fetes and royal shows such as the Brisbane Exhibition.

The AWA uses QLD based professional wrestlers as well as wrestlers from around Australia, many of whom have had great success over the years, who then battle for supremacy in the famed squared circle.

We are available for hire for your next event, and are fully insured for public liability and we gaurantee you a fully professional partnership with packages for every avenue catered for. FAQ:

Q: Can anyone attend the events?
A: Anyone can attend an Australian Wrestling Alliance event, our all ages events cater to a wide audience with varying tastes, all leave our shows, entertained. The only exception are our Grindhouse Wrestling shows, where the patrons MUST be over the age of 18.

Q: How long do the events go for?
A: Running time for events may vary, but on average the run time is from 2-2.5 hours, which includes a 15-20 minute intermission.

Q: How do I buy tickets?
A: You are able to buy tickets online on this webpage under the PURCHASE TICKETS page. You can also buy tickets upon entry at the venue door* (*subject to availability).

Q: What are the advantages of pre-purchasing a ticket online?
A: You will be have guaranteed seating to the event, and on our bigger shows you will receive early entry to get the best seats.

Q: Where is New Globe Theatre?
A: New Globe Theatre is located at 22 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley and is a 1min walk from the Fortitude Valley Train Station, the venue is able to hold 150 people for wrestling events.

Q: Where else can I see AWA shows?
A: In 2017 AWA currently runs at New Globe Theatre, Fortitude Valley. New venues may be added, so please stay updated via the AWA webpage and social media for a show near you.

Q: Is there alcohol available at the events?
A: Our Grindhouse wrestling shows are fully licensed events. A variety of alcohol will be available at the bar for those who are over the legal age of 18 and wish to drink. ID must be supplied, otherwise no service. No BYO!

Q: Is there food available at the events?
A: Only select events have food available at them. We will advise on food and drink availability, either through posters or social media. Please double check food and drink availability before attending.
